Collin Hughes grounded himself in 2008 to go on antidepressants. At the time the FAA would not allow pilots with depression to fly. But on April 2, 2010 the FAA changed its policy. Under certain guidelines pilots with depression will be allowed to fly. Collin has been featured on Inside Edition and twice on CNN. He has renewed his FAA Medical and now flies for an airline. But the blog will continue in an effort to let others know that hope does exist in the world.

Great job, Collin. tried to post a couple moments ago, but believe I wiped it away. Anyway, I am more of a seasonal depression guy-but also noticed diet/sedentary life style is what exacerbates things, especially during the unusual, multiple blizzards we had in the Mid-Atlantic this winter. Too many delivery cheesesteaks, buffalo wings and pizza. My BP is not "high", but "borderline-I found cutting soda, added table salt and my daily bacon intake not only cut my weight, but reduced the sodium. golf/swimming/biking also help now that we are warm {hot!!} again. Stay in touch, and good luck!!
